Porsche Passion: The Ozark Tour is here!

Porsche of North Houston is once again sponsoring the 28^th annual Ozark Tour! This unique trip will take place October 31^st – November 5^th and wind through the Ozark Mountains. Porsche Panamera Exceeds Sales Expectations

We are thrilled to announce that the Porsche Panamera exceeded sales expectations worldwide after one year! No one really knew what to expect since this was Porsche’s first luxury four door sedan. However, that didn’t stop consumers for going wild over the new four-door Porsche Panamera. Porsche has sold 22,518 2010 Panameras worldwide with about 6,188 of those being sold in the United States. The Panamera has grabbed 13% of the luxury class market and that number is still growing! General Manager, Kelly Wolf, isn’t a bit surprised: “We’ve had so many people who have never driven a Porsche before express interest in this car,” Wolf says. “It has brought a new clientele to Porsche.”  We have a great selection of beautiful Panameras in our inventory including the 2011 models. The Porsche Panamera Road Trip

Daniel Terdiman, a reporter for CNET, put the new 2010 Porsche Panamera to the test. He drove for more than 5,200 miles over the course of 6 weeks around the East Coast in the new Panamera 4S. The Porsche 4S is all-wheel drive, and can do zero to 60 in 4.8 seconds. Wow! “Often when I’d walk back to wherever it was parked, I’d find people circling it, checking it out from every angle. And it didn’t stop when I was driving. More times than I can remember, I’d look over and see someone snapping pictures in the lane next to me,” comments Terdiman. The Panamera drives extraordinarily smooth and is quite comfortable and the acceleration was always swift. The Panamera included an awesome navigation system, iPod hookup, and extremely powerful engine. Overall, Terdiman loved driving a Porsche Panamera on Road Trip 2010. Ermenegildo Zegna Trunk Show was a Great Success

On September 9^th we hosted The 2010 Fall Ermenegildo Zenga trunk show. Ermenegildo Zenga celebrated 100 years of Innovation with the debut of the Centennial and Platinum collections. It was a great hit! Chef Steve Haug from Del Frisco’s did an amazing job on the cuisine. Customers enjoyed themselves as they sipped on Italian wine and beer and got fitted with exquisite samples from Ermenegildo Zenga’s collections and checked out the beautiful Porsches in our showroom. Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid

After demonstrating its groundbreaking technology in Germany, the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid will make its appearance in the USA and Asia. Porsche was invited to participate in the season final of the American Le Mans Series, which features the world’s fastest sport cars. It takes place in Atlanta on October 2nd at “Petit Le Mans.” The race is 1,000 miles or a maximum of 10 hours! A little over a month later, on November 7th, the Porsche 911 GT3 S Hybrid will be in Zhuhai, China at the season final of the new Le Mans International Cup lasting six hours. The Porsche 911 GT3 S Hybrid has two electric motors at the front axle. They both create 60 kilowatts to enhance the 480 horsepower normally-aspirated rear-engine. Click here to learn more. Upcoming Porsche Swap Meet at Porsche of North Houston

The Lone Star Region of the Porsche Club of America is hosting the 2nd Annual Porsche Swap Meet at Porsche of North Houston, Saturday October 16th, 2010 from 8:00am - 2:00pm rain or shine!

If you’re seeking an obscure part for your Porsche, this is your best chance to find it in the Greater-Houston area. Every Porsche packrat and a handful of dealers in a 250-mile radius will be bringing their odds and ends for sale or swap. In addition Porsche of North Houston will have OEM Porsche parts at discounted prices. You’ll see a range of Porsche models and parts rarely seen together! Last year, we had a great turnout of 60 cars ranging in model year from 1953 to 2010! The event has a free admission and will offer food and beverages on site. There will be a “Porsche Through Time” car display in addition to all the vendors and swap items.
