Motor Trend SUV of the Year: The 2011 Porsche Cayenne

Did you hear? Motor Trend named the 2011 Porsche Cayenne as the SUV of the year. The exceptional Porsche Cayenne beat out 15 other SUVs for the title. Motor Trend praised the 2011 Porsche Cayenne for its enhancements in engineering, design, efficiency, safety, value and performance. “With strong showings in the engineering and efficiency areas, an attractive exterior, a thoughtful interior design, a full roster of active and passive safety gear and a high value rating on its opening price, the Cayenne was quite obviously the winner. The fact that the Cayenne's driving experience eclipsed that of every other contender was just a bonus,” said Motor Trend’s Editor-in-Chief, Angus MacKenzie.

The new Cayenne offers four engine choices and the powertrains were lightened by 400 pounds. Wow! Even though the Cayenne expanded the exterior, the new Porsche seems sleeker and more slender. Also, the brakes are top of the line, allowing the vehicle to stop from 60mph in just 107 feet. The on-road handling and grip is better than any other SUV on the market, today.

Our Controller, Janet Monk is A True Porsche Enthusiast

Not only does she drive a Porsche, Janet has worked for Porsche since 1982 and has a love for the luxury and speed of our brand. She’s lived in Houston for the past thirty-one years, and is 100% certain that Porsche makes the best sports car in the world!
